We do NOT move desktops, phones, or printers to other rooms at the request of staff.
In regards to desktop computers, those devices are inventoried and assigned to those rooms. Any important files you have saved in downloads, documents, or desktop need to be moved to your google drive so you can retrieve it regardless of the device you are using. This is good practice to have throughout the year and not just during summer moves because during the event that your computer crashes and needs to be replaced you will still have your files.
Laptop computers, if you are not using them they need to be turned in at the end of the school year and place your name on them. Most likely you will receive the same device at the start of the new year. However, we cannot guarantee that so make sure you have your files saved to your drive and not the laptop. Please do not have stickers on them. We really dislike stickers on our property.
For phones, the phones are programmed with extensions that are assigned to those rooms. We can move your voicemail to match your new extension. However the physical phone needs to stay in that room.
And finally the moving of printers, this decision has to be a mutual one between technology and the site Principal. We will automatically close tickets that ask us to move a printer unless it comes from site administration.
